. Happiness: Happiness is an inside job. It comes from focusing on people, situations, things, and experiences that bring pleasure. Depression: On the opposite side, depression is excessive focusing on people, situations, things, and experiences that bring pain, discomfort, stress, anxiety and the like. These thoughts are cortisone produces in the human brain. Cortisone produces feel bad feeling and inspire the person to feel even worse and to focus on more people, situations, things, and experiences that bring pain, discomfort, stress, anxiety and the like. This can become a downward spiral into what is commonly referred to as depression. It's also a variation of out of control, victim consciousness. The Laws in Non-Physical World: In the non-physical world, thoughts are the equivalent of what, in the physical world, we call things. Our states of mind are simply the inevitable result of The Universal Law of Thought. Among other things, this law tells us that if you bitch, moan and complain, The Universe will give you more to bitch, moan and complain about. The term "The Universe" can be seen as "Creator/God" or simply as the nature of how the rules of reality functions on planet Earth. Just as there are very exacting rules governing physical matter, there are specific and exacting laws governing the non physical portion of reality. Thoughts, internal feelings, emotions, attitudes, and states of being all follow exact, precise and unbreakable rules. Similar to the physical law of gravity, if one violates the law one experiences the consequences. There is no superhuman being sitting on a cloud saying things like, "You said or did "this or that", therefore I'm going to punish you." There are simply universal laws that produce results. Like it or not, the rules are there. The laws of the universe and the evidence tell us that, for each of us, our external world is a physical mirror of our dominant (most frequently in mind) thoughts and our most dominant emotions. This includes our mindless thinking, our intentiopnal thoughts our internal feelings, our emotions, attitudes likes, dislikes and all the other "gyrations and mental dances" that go on in our minds. This includes all the garbage that gets plugged into our minds by way or television, radio, print media and the like.

. There are dozens of negative, pain-producing thoughts and beliefs that keep us in our self-made, mental prisons: Here are a few of them: I am separate form God. I am separate form nature. I am separate from my fellow human beings. God does not exist. Who I am will cease to be when I die. I'm better than everyone else. I am special, unique, and better than everyone else. The rules are for others to follow, but I'm special, so I don't need to follow the rules. Making money is all that matters. I'm an inherently evil sinner that must beg God for favors. God is an invisible superhuman being who lives in the sky. Money is the root of all evil. I have to be poor to be close to God. I know what God wants you to do. Life sucks, and then I die. I have to work and struggle just to survive. If I have money, something bad will happen. The more I suffer the closer I am to God Sex is bad. If I have sex, I'll be punished. Humans are created by God at conception. Humans live only once on planet Earth. Earth is a testing ground to see if I am good enough to get into heaven. After death, I'll go to heaven or hell forever. Violence solves problems. You have to change so that my life will be better. If I have the things I want, other must go without. I can destroy the environment and not reap the consequences. Global Climate Change is an hippie, tree-huggers fairytale. If I can ignore my problems and they'll go away Only Catholics go the heaven. Jesus was a god, but I'm an inherently evil sinner. God makes all humans evil because a long-dead ancestor ate fruit from a forbidden tree. God murdered his son to show us he love us. Denial is a river in Egypt. . |
